Ammania Gracilis is a lovely aquarium plant that is commonly used for aquascapers looking to add some bold coloration to planted aquarium tanks. Characterized by its thick stem, Ammania Gracilis offers beautiful pink, orange to red hues for relatively undemanding care. This aquarium plant's leaves are sprouted opposite of each other along the stem and offer good texture from its wavy appearance. With the potential to grow fairly large, we recommend Ammania Gracilis as an accent aquarium plant in the background of a nature aquarium. Just like most aquatic stem plants, Ammania Gracilis also has the ability to grow in emersed conditions and will do so when provided with proper care during the transition.

To promote significant growth, Ammania Gracilis does well when provided with high lighting, CO2, and a fertilizer regime. To propagate, cut new growth from the base and replant it into a quality aquarium substrate that offers a nutrient source to heavy root feeders.

Tissue culture aquatic plants are grown in-vitro by laboratories who specialize in propagating aquatic plants. There is a huge selection of plant species that have been propagated this way. This is truly the best option for those who want absolutely zero unwanted pests, algae and pesticides. This makes them perfect for shrimp keepers and any planted tank enthusiasts alike.

NOTE: It is important to remove the tissue culture agar gel before planting. Simply wash the gel away, divide, and plant.
