A small, antique New Hampshire souvenir trinket box from the Victorian Era! The Mauchline Ware box features an image of the Endicott Rock & Mail Boat "Uncle Sam" Weirs, Lake Winnepesaukee (spelling on the box), N.H. The wood is in good antique condition with finish wear and tear; the interior is clean. The small box measures 2 1/2 inches by 1 7/84 inches x 1 1/2 inches tall. There is a 1973 Robert Indiana 8 cent love postage stamp in the interior; I'll leave it for the new owner to decide if should remain in the box.
Mauchline Ware was produced in Scotland using sycamore wood with highly detailed transfers. The company produced the wares from 1850 until 1933. Wonderful souvenir of New Hampshire.
