Faction Skis designed their Studio 0 Skis 2025 - 172cm to stand up to demanding days in the mountains. The Studio 0 is a performance oriented, halfpipe-specific ski built to withstand the G forces and off-centered landings that are unique to that discipline. Rely on the Studio 0 for true precision, because it's a game of inches when it comes to the perfect pipe run. The ski is built with carbon/rubber reinforcement under the binding area to withstand heavy stomps; carbon stringers for torsional strength without added bulk; a symmetrical shape for effortless switch skiing; and a 7mm XL sidewall for supreme edge hold and protection of the wood core. Built with recycled materials, never sacrificing durability. Faction is working with their production partners to eliminate material waste. They now mix base, sidewall and topsheet material scraps back into the raw material used for production, reducing carbon emissions while ensuring the same level of quality & durability.; Locally Sourced Materials In an effort to reduce the impact of our supply chain, we strive to source materials from European companies that are based near our factories.; 100% Renewable Energy Factory: This ski is produced in a cutting-edge facility that runs on electrical power that is 100% renewable. Additionally, its heating energy comes solely from biomass. The factory no longer uses oil, resulting in annual CO2 emissions reductions of a whopping 10 million kilograms. XL 2.5mm Edges, compared to 2 mm industry average, built to last; XL 7mm Full Strength Sidewall provides the best-possible edge hold and protection of the wood core. • Core: Poplar is a light-colored, medium-weight, durable softwood that flexes and pops nicely as well as having a whole load of vibration absorption capabilities. Used as the only wood in this core, it allows the ski to pop, butter and stomp like an all-mountain freestyle ski and also have enough torsional stability to grip impressively on the downhill.
• Carbon stringers sandwiches the ski's wood core, providing extra stability and torsional rigidity without adding bulk to the build. Feel confident when you're about to pop to the Moon. Between 8 and 12 stringers of carbon, sandwiching either side of the ski's woodcore, are laid unidirectionally, providing extra stability to the ski, without adding bulk to the build. Each carbon strip is woven into the fiberglass to provide strength and stiffness in the full length of the ski.
• Carbon and rubber Stomp Pad absorbs vibration at high speeds and upon landing big airs. A 600mm-long, 15mm-wide carbon/rubber reinforcement underfoot, above the edge, adds strength where it matters most to this performance oriented ski. In addition to protecting the wood core from heavy-duty impact on rails, the carbon and rubber inlay adds stability and vibration absorption under your boots, so that stomped landings feel better, both for you and your skis.
• Elliptical Sidecut, longer radius underfoot for long, stable arcs and shorter radius in the tip and tail for awesome versatility, effortless turn initiation. Elliptical Sidecut is made up of a longer radius underfoot and shorter radii in the tip and tail of the ski. The long radius underfoot means you can pivot faster and easier, while a shorter radius in the tip and tail result in easier turn initiation. This sidecut allows for a wide variety of turn lengths, angles and mounting positions
• Boat Flex:"Boat flex" combines a stiffer tip and tail to help settle the skis at speed, with a softer mid section, for big-time pop on request
