A designated housing that converts the rear chamber of the Ultum Nature Systems Dual AlO aquarium into a refugium, allowing for the cultivation of Chaetomorpha and other macro algaes as an efficient form of natural nutrient export. Refugiums improve filtration and increase biodiversity in the overall system: copepods, amphipods, and other small organisms are given space to flourish in a safe, protected habitat.
The device is held securely by an adjustable clamp and features unique design that allows for the installation of the Refugium Light to support healthy growth. The allotted space is opaque and prevents overspill of light into the main aquarium.
